FROM HERE WE WAKE UP

From here we wake up

The web of rhetoric

The slant of “news”

Shaming tactics on the “opposition”

Over-lapping oppressed status

Intersectionals as the majority

By excluding only “white” males.

The melting pot coagulates

Indistinct clumps of interest groups

Banging into each other harder

And more often as the soup heats –

Stirred by tech press –

The flame kept on high.

            We wake as individuals –

            Solemn in our uniqueness.

            How similar are our souls?

            Do our spirit-selves have

“interest groups?”

Did the virus empty the churches?

            Did government play a part?

            Is that freedom of religion

            Under our constitution?

            Or do we have regulations

            Issued by bureaucrats and officials?

A silent night in Waukesha.

A dismal evening in D.C.

As the Congress prepares to spend

Trillions more in a year

Than the Treasury collects.

The Federal Reserve

Running the world of commerce

Deciding to print the paper money

As fast as a Jesse James getaway
