HABIT IMPELS ONE TO REPEAT

Habit impels one to repeat

Friendliness toward the happy

Compassion for the unhappy

Delight in the virtuous

Disregard toward the afflicted

         Some texts say wicked

         Instead of afflicted

         But my insolent insertion

Is to point to the infliction of evil

As if it is a foreign substance

         Needing rejection, mentally

To be resorbed into the universe

         Totally eviscerated

Like fog under a rising sun

And it is our sun

We recline in its heat

The ingestion of Vitamin D

The absorption of kindness from another

All that is needed

Is a perfect lover

And then the window cracks

She is stubborn

But her resistance lacks will

And the day bursts

A lovely set of eyes

Brazen, like the refusal of an alibi

When she catches you

Engaging a 20 year old beauty

In a conversation regarding her booty

And you say Yes, she is sweet as butter

And you, my love
