DISAPPOINTED INHERITORS
Our valleys invited the storm
Saying we are parched
And the rains came
And lo’ God has spoke
Yet rest assured
That if the high and low pressure forces
Had not so conspired
It would have required
An act of Congress to tax exhalations
Based on an implanted device
First on cars and machines
Measuring emissions and such
And then to the animals
Who graze and are slaughtered for meat
Then to those who eat such meat
Since there are other viable
Sources of protein
So then the drought
And the veggies dry up
And there is no meat or cattle
They all gave up the chase
No farmers, they got out-voted
By the bums on the street
Who can’t manage their own destiny
Much less a ranch or business enterprize
So the congregation fled
Left the left for dead
Became righteous and truthful
Or so they thought
But the gold had been sold
Down a 100 trillion dollars of debt
And the inheritors
Are sore disappointed
