WHO SHOULD SHE CHOOSE?
A world changing in front of me
As I sing these words
A point of view
Honest, humble, serene
Now ejected from the battleground
The lone wolf again
Grey coat, grey eyes
Looking for color on a whimsical parade
Young women in their 20’s and 30’s
Not yet committed to a mate
Looking in their eager way
Who will walk up
Notice their beauty and genius
The stylish way they wear their hair
To “just so” frame the face
Which waits distinctly
Behind blush powders, eye liner and lip paint
Eager to be snatched from the group
Five other girls wonder why
He didn’t give them a try
And off she goes
Butt wiggling high
Roses seemed a good fit
Scent of love to a woman
Lingers from the night given
To the next few days
Their senses are stimulated –
A worthy foe or friend
Crimson blooms darken and droop
As she readies for the coming month
Wondering, as always
Who she should choose
