THE MOMENT

Go ahead, dream on

It will happen again

The meeting, the moment

When it all fits –

Your genes, personality, goals, timing

All align to this point

When you commit to a person

Who you have just met.

Some blind force is granted vision.

            It wakes from casual observation

Sets its purpose on this other

            Who somehow anticipates and accepts

            The invisible commonalities

            And welcomes the differences.

The moment occurs

And as the years go on

You realize that moment is singular –

Not subject to repetition.

The intersection being so subject

To the vagueries of circumstance and time.

            Imagine the permutations –

            Those two individuals, separate –

Then meeting at that precise moment

And yet the feeling that it was destiny –

            That it fulfilled the book

And that chance had nothing to do with it

The window opens –

Closing it is your choice.

All the world chasing or remembering

That point in time

When the other appears

And life enters the spirit realm                                                                     221006.1
