Our slice of time

            Worthy of protection

            This woman commands introspection

            What is it that one could want?

            Is she everything you seek

            Or a settlement after the heat?

            Why is the answer so elusive –

            So hard to locate?

            Could it be there is no answer

            And that to live

            Is to compete –

            For this piece of money, land or girl?

            All is in dispute

            All is subject to the will

This is why there are lawyers

And preachers of the Lord

This is where doctors come from

Nurses as well

Right from the core

Of the human heart

Little time left to live

Means you give all you’ve got
