WE OPENED THE GATE
We opened the gate
Entered together, hand in hand
There would be no more delay
No interminable discussion
A life committed
Mutual effort right to the end
Fending off all disputes
None could enter the tent
No one could interfere
It was pure fantasy
No ordinary touches
Every kiss a mystic trip
From first to last to memory bank
Wherein every moment is stored
Bringing back summer on a January day
Quelling shivers in a most pleasant way
All owing for love to remain
Though the body fades
Then the rumbling of a great quake
Every brick crumbles
When it falls from great height
And the wind rises to a torrent
With all the crumbled dust blown to the sea
Leaving no trace of the lovely form
That once walked beside me.
Sunset orange, purple and wild
Blazes in the western sky
Illuminating damp sand
Smooth and free
Inviting a full man
To run as fast as a dream 200711.2
