MOTIVE, INTENT AND ACTS

Yes, the days were just packed

Après ski liaisons by thirteen

Immense battles on the court

Veritable love and virtual marriage

Arrive at twenty

An ascent so arduous

Desert fever and solitary back seat

Hubris descending on me

Finding control is never nearby

Accepting risk

Utilizing no alibi

When it came to logic

Assembling all the facts

The smartest in the room

Collects the most cash

Not each time

And certainly not without pain

But consistently and without disdain

For the contributor

Who gives his or her trust

Who is an individual

Beyond the corporate tests

            Immense ego along the way

A lover/wife/mother who said it all

            Each and every day

            With prodigious love and empathy

            Toward us and all others

Tough to know the good

When they are gone

You find out that they supported us all

In our valiant attempts

To become more pure

In motive, intent and acts
