Love is God's breath

Within us

To be bound

With another soul

Throughout eternity

         To find another

         With the jewel of wisdom

         Able to live joyfully

As you look around

Don't fail to see

Those committed to another

Walking jointly

         Then see yourself as separate

         But with Jesus by your side.

         Well, it is good will

         At least in the tangible sense

And then, all of a sudden

The world glows

It's a transcendent array of light

And you fall in

No more anxious moments

They all merged into one

And you out-lived it

So have a laugh

With a young beauty

With braided blond hair

See a motion

And follow her there

         See the world

         As it still shines,

         Black and grey wait patiently

         For those who love

         This life and this time
