THE IRONY OF FULL DISCLOSURE
The irony of full disclosure
The fever of a human being
To fully immerse in this life
All emotions
The entire physical being
Committing to a life with another
As though meant by God and his fate
To come together as a whole
To produce children and raise them
To secure a place in this world to exist
For our time and to reflect on peace.
To thank those who fought for it
Those who sustained
All the business people and mothers
All the factory workers and teachers
All the poor slobs who push a broom
All part of life on this golden orb
Circling the mother sun
On her own path
Toward an even greater sun
Somewhere in the Heavens.
Yet here on our chair
Overlooking the Pacific
With the Bay in between
We spoke an unearthly rhyme
The kind that shivers through time
That takes the breath . . .
And sends it high overhead
Where it can look down
And see us, embrace
In a field of straw
Covered in a golden glow 220310.2
