HEY, ALL YOU ROCKERS
Hey, all you rockers
You rebels, you freaks
Hey blood, sister and cousin
Hey immigrant, however you came
Hey middle class white boy
And your friends
Hey you Ivies and dropouts and delivery guys
You live in the USA
In the best of times
In the best country –
Safe, free, able to stay or leave
And when you speak
Government lets you be
Like it should
For everyone equally –
Of every color, money or none.
Our life’s work here
Is to preserve our country and our liberty.
Free to move up economically
Free to marry who you please
Free to raise your children
Without school indoctrination.
Free to pray or not
Free to walk the streets safely.
Free to own property, by simple fee –
Not a government lease.
And if you get arrested
A fair process
Treating each and every person equally.
And along the way
Hope for a government free
Of the power hungry and the greedy. 230301.1
