FORWARD
Severe lack of distress
Setting in
A sense of calm
Before the thunder
As though earth gasped
In awe of the lightening
That we sparked.
Just the sight
And the sound
The air cracked
And we were born
Out came a hybrid –
“Let righteousness cover the earth
Like water covers the sea”
One of us is bound for sweet destiny
The other a winner of all dimension
And together, forever
As though anvil and hammer
Silent apart
Together they sing
And create new dreams
For the earth child
Or the sea-maiden
Who loom far to the distant Heavens
Once a journey is begun
It is a shorter distance
To complete
Than to turn back to the start
Only to find that line has moved –
Can’t be found –
And the turnaround to face the void
Is to be avoided
So we move together, forward, at all times
