Extreme moderation

Survival on beneficial terms.

The meter functioning on all issues –

If the needle is straight up

All is in balance.

Too much input on one side

Tilts the needle.

The body and mind seek balance –

Essential for survival –

So it seeks to balance the scale.

         If the mood is elevated by a drug

         The elation, stimulation and euphoria

         Need to be brought down to normal levels

         So the person feels the down

         As the mind recovers

         From the false state of exhilaration

All users know it –

The higher the high, the lower the low –

The more painful is the down.

So behavior becomes repetitive quickly

And the individual seeks and remembers

The sense of the drug

So temptation exists

And prohibition can be difficult

For a variety of reasons

Including changes in circumstances.

         “Extreme moderation”

         Removes the stigma of total abstinence –

         As if a substance was more powerful

         Than the individual’s mind. –

         So if you take any drug –

         Take the absolute minimum does possible

         Then wait, and observe, wait and observe.
