Did Dracula, Frankenstein – Monster heroes

Ugly, complex, divine, soulful.

Deepened film with “All Quiet on the Western Front”

Showing German Youth turned Nazis

Manipulated by the state –

And here we are, a hundred years later

And the tears today are digital

Placed on pixelated skin

Words conceived in banality.

Nothing to be said –

Just flash, blood and bones crushing

Just blow up everything

And the streamers can believe it

Because they have nothing else

And the funny thing is

That America was a powerful thing –

Bringing peace to the world

Despite the dictators

Trying to take over our very souls –

            And yet in the breach

            Were American men and their wives
