Deep sense of anticipation
A dream haze in the air
People and mouths move
But silence overwhelms the room
As she floats in
Buoyant as is her smile
And then the full sweet voice
Sure of itself
As she is brazen with her beauty
Her eyes a bright morning
When the elements seem perfect
And you are right there
As she holds you
In her soft gaze
A memory of a thousand greetings
Having taken place somewhere
To be re-lived
With this bright girl
Sent to my side
Seemingly to stay
Past moments of surpassing joy
Past times of golden afternoons
Laughing along the path
Back from the silence of the night
Her memory firm and true
Unknown gifts for the remainders
Wait to be discovered
Her kind view of the world
As if truth and peace were the reality
Has remained with us
