A barrier around the heart
That no evil could enter
A force field
Sheltering the soul
From the oncoming . . .
The disagreements
The speculations
Greedy, jealousy, vindictiveness
All held at bay
For the turning point
In each life
When no longer does anyone have power
Except yourself
A window to the world
Through which we transport our purpose
Whether to conquer weakness
Or enable greatness
We each have a prescription written
And we pursue it with conviction
Until the web breaks
And the spirit soars
Finally free from human tangles
Free from emotion and birth/death cycles
Free from Karma
And its human truths
Alone among the stars
A million lightyears from each other
As if specks of nothingness
And yet full of love –
An unobjectifiable essence
Like the thought
Of eternal love
