A SUMMER NIGHT
Sit back
Watch the world blow apart
On your 60” screen
Which brings you everything
For the “too rich for their own good” crowd
Which fret and moan
About this Russian thing
Or that Chinese virus
Or the general decay of civil society
As evidenced daily
By the deranged monkey
Laying on cardboard
On a concrete sidewalk
Smoking nothing
Because he used his stash
And is waiting for some govt. cash
Promised in the ether
Of another meth fever
Transporting primate to jungle
Only to find it is a city street
And these other monkeys are fierce
And will eat his treats
Until gnawed to the bare bone
Lying indiscreetly on the summer lawn
China usurping Biden
Like a giant reptile
Encountering a newt
Unaware of his surroundings
He becomes a consumable treat
Succulent dollars on a reptilian tongue
Wisping out of XI’s lips
Like a sweet lie on a summer night 220318.2
